Evan Ehlers and the Charles D Close School mentioned in Philly Magazine February 21, 2021 Sharing Excess, a non-profit startup founded by Evan Ehlers while he was a student at the Charles D. Close School of Entrepreneurship, was featured in a Feb. 23 Philadelphia magazine story. As hunger in 2020 worsened in the city and food supply streams grew more unpredictable, the organization helped bridge the gap between excess food in grocery stores and restaurants and food-insecure Philadelphians. By December, Sharing Excess had rescued one million pounds of food. Link to story
